This 2014 Pommard

Power and character before delicacy: Pommard stands out on the Côte de Beaune as one of the region's most robustly built red wines. This communal appellation covers part of the commune of Pommard, in the Côte-d'Or, and produces red wine exclusively, made solely from pinot noir. Recognised as an AOC by decree of 11 September 1936, it reflects a long-standing Burgundian tradition built on structure and density rather than delicacy or perfume.

Food pairing

Bœuf bourguignon, game, red meats in sauce, aged cheeses (Époisses, Langres).

Winemaker

Chateau de Pommard

Château de Pommard, founded in 1726, is one of the oldest estates of the Côte de Beaune, set in the heart of the Pommard appellation.

Its Clos Marey-Monge, a walled vineyard of 20 hectares, forms the historic core of the property. Since 2014, the estate has been led by American entrepreneur Michael Baum, and the vineyard is now certified organic and biodynamic.

Each wine speaks of its origin: Pommards that are powerful, elegant, and deeply marked by terroir. At Sélection Boudras, we value this blend of tradition and precision.
