Finesse and fragrance before power: Chambolle-Musigny gives the pinot noir of the Côte de Nuits its most delicate voice. The village lies between Morey-Saint-Denis and Vougeot, on an east-facing slope with stony, calcareous and marly soils. The appellation, recognised in 1936, counts 24 premier cru climats.
Hand-harvested, partly as whole clusters, this pinot noir ferments with indigenous yeasts, then is aged for 18 months in oak barrels, a quarter of them new, before being bottled unfiltered. The nose shows dominant raspberry aromas in youth alongside other red fruit, evolving over time toward more animal notes. The palate stands out for its great suppleness; enjoyable from its second year, the wine can be kept for more than ten years. Serve at 17°C, with white meats or roasts.

Domaine Georges Lignier, based in Morey-Saint-Denis, reflects a Côte de Nuits shaped by family continuity and a deep sense of terroir.
Founded in the early twentieth century, the domaine has remained in family hands and is now led by Benoît Stehly. Its vines extend across the appellations of Morey-Saint-Denis, Chambolle-Musigny, Gevrey-Chambertin and Marsannay, reaching into the grands crus Clos de la Roche, Clos Saint-Denis, Bonnes-Mares and Charmes-Chambertin.
