Gevrey-Chambertin in the 2018 vintage

Power and depth define Gevrey-Chambertin, a benchmark of the Côte de Nuits for pinot noir reds. Harvesting, vinification and elevage take place across the communes of Gevrey-Chambertin and Brochon, in the Côte-d'Or. The appellation counts 26 climats classified as premier cru. The wine shows a ruby robe, an intense bouquet of red berries, and tannins that are dense yet velvety.

Food pairing

Rib of beef, game, coq au vin, Époisses.

Domaine Georges Lignier

Domaine Georges Lignier, based in Morey-Saint-Denis, reflects a Côte de Nuits shaped by family continuity and a deep sense of terroir.

Founded in the early twentieth century, the domaine has remained in family hands and is now led by Benoît Stehly. Its vines extend across the appellations of Morey-Saint-Denis, Chambolle-Musigny, Gevrey-Chambertin and Marsannay, reaching into the grands crus Clos de la Roche, Clos Saint-Denis, Bonnes-Mares and Charmes-Chambertin.

The estate's style is often described as delicate and subtle, seeking a faithful expression of each individual plot. At Sélection Boudras, we value this pursuit of authenticity, reflected here in the Chambolle-Musigny and Gevrey-Chambertin included in our selection.
