At the southern edge of the Côte de Nuits, Nuits-Saint-Georges produces reds of character, built on structure and depth rather than pure fragrance. The appellation spans the communes of Nuits-Saint-Georges and Premeaux-Prissey, with 41 climats classified as premier cru, and no grand cru. The “Aux Argillas” climat lies in the commune of Nuits-Saint-Georges, on a domaine plot of 0.4151 ha.
This wine is made from Pinot Noir. It shows fine structure and great elegance. With a cellaring potential of 7 to 15 years, it pairs with fine game, meat in sauce, beef fillet with mushrooms, and delicate cheeses.

Domaine Martin-Dufour, in Chorey-lès-Beaune in the Côte de Beaune, has been run by the Martin family for five generations, faithful to a tradition of close attention to each terroir.
From François to Théophile, then Paul and Daniel, the estate's history has passed down through the family before Jean-Paul and Pascale Martin took over in 1990. Today Valentin Martin, of the following generation, continues the family's work.
Across 9.5 hectares, the domaine produces wines from Chorey-lès-Beaune, Savigny-lès-Beaune (village and 1er cru Hauts-Marconnets), Nuits-Saint-Georges (village and 1er cru Aux Argillas), Ladoix, Aloxe-Corton and Bourgogne. Vinification remains traditional, seeking to let each terroir express itself fully.
