Domaine du Meix Foulot, in Mercurey, stands among the notable estates of the Côte Chalonnaise, held by the de Launay family for eight generations.
An ancestor of the current head of the estate helped establish the Mercurey appellation in 1923. Paul de Launay gave the domaine its own distinct style from 1956 onward, before his daughter Agnès Dewé de Launay took over in 1996. In 2024, she was named "Best Wine Maker" by the magazine Bourgogne Aujourd'hui.
Across some twenty hectares, mostly Mercurey villages and premier cru, the estate follows a clear philosophy: not to make chardonnays or pinots noirs, but wines of Burgundy that express the character of each terroir. The fruit is handled with full respect for its integrity, within a property certified for sustainable farming since 2008 and, since 2022, awarded High Environmental Value level 3.
At Sélection Boudras, we value this fidelity to place and precision, through which each wine tells the story of where it comes from.
