Between Dijon and the Maranges, across some 65 kilometres, Bourgogne Côte d'Or brings together the expression of the Côte de Beaune and the Côte de Nuits under a single geographical designation created in 2017. Here, pinot noir yields red wines of cherry-red colour with deep ruby highlights.
The grapes come from certified organic farming. Hand-harvested and sorted, the fruit undergoes full destemming followed by a pre-fermentation maceration of around seven days in temperature-controlled tanks; the must is tasted daily during alcoholic fermentation to adjust punching down and pumping over, with vatting completed within 20 days of harvest. Ageing takes place over twelve months in 228-litre barrels, with new oak representing around 25 to 30% per year.

Domaine Françoise André, based in Beaune, has upheld since its founding in 1983 a family tradition carried out with remarkable precision, from vine to cellar.
Founded by Françoise and Michel André following the acquisition of a plot in Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru “Les Vergelesses”, the estate has been led since 2009 by Lauriane André. Jérôme Després, as estate manager, oversees the vineyard work and technical direction. Across 11 hectares spread over 16 climats in the Côte de Beaune, the vineyards extend from Beaune, Chorey-lès-Beaune, Pernand-Vergelesses and Savigny-lès-Beaune to the Corton hill, where grands crus such as Corton-Charlemagne are also produced.
Farming is organic and biodynamic, Ecocert-certified since 2012, with grapes harvested by hand. This meticulous work in the vineyard and gentle guidance in the winemaking give wines of finesse and elegance.
