Vincent Girardin, born into a winemaking family from Burgundy, founded his own house in 1980, at nineteen, in Meursault, at the heart of the Côte de Beaune.
Starting with two hectares inherited from his parents, he went on to build a négociant activity, buying grapes from growers who shared his philosophy. The house now brings together appellations from eleven villages of the Côte de Beaune, including Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet and Chassagne-Montrachet. The vines are farmed under sustainable viticulture principles, and grapes are hand-picked with careful sorting.
Since the early 2000s, winemaker Éric Germain has carried on the house's style, guided by a search for the expression of Burgundy's great terroirs, in a spirit close to haute couture. In 2012, Vincent Girardin passed on his house to the Compagnie des Vins d'Autrefois, a longstanding partner. At Sélection Boudras, we value this steady devotion to the great terroirs of the Côte de Beaune.
