Moulin de la Bridane is the second wine of Château la Bridane, in Saint-Julien-Beychevelle, a family estate owned by the Saintout family in the Médoc.
The Saintout family has been rooted in the Médoc for nearly three centuries. Pierre-Jean Saintout, a leading figure among local farmers in the 1950s, developed the family estate before Bruno Saintout took over in 1984. Since 2022, the next generation, Noëlie and Pierre-Simon Saintout, has been gradually joining the domaine. The estate's name is said to derive from the mill of Abbé Bridane, a priest-miller of the parish in the Middle Ages.
An independent winegrower and member of the Vignerons Indépendants network, the estate also produces wines in the Haut-Médoc and Médoc appellations alongside this Saint-Julien.
At Sélection Boudras, we value this wine for the quiet continuity of a family devoted to its land, passed on from one generation to the next.
