Five generations of winegrowers have run this family estate since 1895. In 1998, Jean-Pierre Maldant left his work for the Hospices de Beaune to devote himself entirely to his own domaine; since 2010, his son Pierre-François has vinified the estate's wines, carrying forward his father's approach. A new cellar was built in 2015, followed by a new winemaking facility in 2019.
The domaine covers some 10 hectares of small, mostly old parcels in Aloxe-Corton, Ladoix-Serrigny, Savigny-lès-Beaune and Chorey-lès-Beaune. It produces the full range of Burgundy's hierarchy, from regional appellations to Premiers and Grands Crus, including Corton-Charlemagne. Farming follows a reasoned approach, with traditional ploughing and hand-picked harvests.
At Sélection Boudras, we value Domaine Jean-Pierre Maldant for its authentic expression of the Corton terroir, where power and elegance meet in quiet balance.
