A few kilometres north of Beaune, Savigny-lès-Beaune produces balanced, supple white wines, marked by fruity notes of lemon and grapefruit alongside buttery or brioche-like touches. Confined to the territory of a single commune, the appellation was recognised by the decree of 31 July 1937 and counts 22 climats classified as premier cru.
This cuvée, made from chardonnay, shows a mineral character with pronounced oak influence. It is best kept for three to eight years and pairs well with grilled lobster, or can simply be enjoyed on its own.

Domaine Martin-Dufour, in Chorey-lès-Beaune in the Côte de Beaune, has been run by the Martin family for five generations, faithful to a tradition of close attention to each terroir.
From François to Théophile, then Paul and Daniel, the estate's history has passed down through the family before Jean-Paul and Pascale Martin took over in 1990. Today Valentin Martin, of the following generation, continues the family's work.
Across 9.5 hectares, the domaine produces wines from Chorey-lès-Beaune, Savigny-lès-Beaune (village and 1er cru Hauts-Marconnets), Nuits-Saint-Georges (village and 1er cru Aux Argillas), Ladoix, Aloxe-Corton and Bourgogne. Vinification remains traditional, seeking to let each terroir express itself fully.
