His daughter Marie-Madeleine carried on the vines, and her son Jean-Marie later sold his wine by the cask to the cafés of Lyon. In 1958, Jean and Claudius Mathias began bottling their wine themselves, founding the Domaine Mathias as it stands today. Since 1992 Gilles Mathias and Béatrice Prost have run the estate, joined in 2016 by their son Thibault.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eOrganic farming began in 2010, and the wines have been certified since the 2013 vintage.
